Nederlander Worldwide Entertainment Partners to Open Istanbul Performing Arts Center

Nederlander Worldwide Entertainment is developing a new performing arts center to open in Istanbul in 2013, according to Variety.
Nederlander Worldwide has aligned with Zorlu Property Group to build the center, which will include a 2,300-seat theatre, as well as a 770-seat theatre, with the intent of hosting Broadway productions, concerts and dance shows.
Programming for the $300 million venue will be announced later this year. Nederlander Worldwide Entertainment is run by Broadway producers Robert E. Nederlander Sr. and Robert Nederlander Jr. they will manage design, construction and programming for the center.
Nederlander Worldwide Entertainment also helped launch a Chinese cultural exchange program in 2010, as well as a partnership with Beijing Time New Century Entertainment to bring Broadway musicals (and the Broadway production model) to China.
